Co-Ed Yoga for Kayaking Intensive
This weekend intensive is designed to bring heightened awareness to our paddling muscles for injury prevention, pain reduction, increased comfort and better paddling performance. We’ll learn how to stretch the muscles that we over-use and strengthen the muscles that we under-use in kayaking for better overall alignment on and off the water. The mornings will be spent practicing yoga and learning the body mechanics of paddling and alignment. In the afternoon we’ll head to the river to apply what we learned in yoga to our kayaking. We’ll also work on improving our paddling skills. Added benefits to this workshop are relaxation and focus techniques.
This workshop is open to both men and women. No previous yoga experience necessary. Participants must be comfortable in class II – III whitewater.
